ABOUT US
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a Special Interest Group (SIG) that exists under the auspices of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), and its members are from U.S. and other many geographical areas of the world.
The ESD SIG is an academic group founded in spring 2010 through the initiative of Ligia Toutant with support from Victor Kobayashi, Ali A. Abdi, Fernanda Pineda, Ileen Linden, Oren Pizmony-Levy, and many other CIES members. The group has 45 members.
The purpose of the CIES ESD SIG is to:
Facilitate communication and partnerships among academia, community, industry, and policy makers, who are aware of and engaged in ecological sustainability.
